Jeffrey Goodchild – With over 35 years of experience as a building designer and is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists. Initially, working as a Land Surveyor, Jeffrey then later qualified as a Site Engineer and Site Manager. For the last 30 years, Jeffrey has been running his own business as an Architectural Technologist. At over 60 years of age he has a wealth of experience and has successfully completed a considerable amount of design work.

Nick Goodchild – qualified for over 19 years and working in the construction industry for 24 years, Nick now usually takes the role of lead designer on most new projects. He started out his building design career working within a well known Architectural Design practice.

Nick prides himself on building good client relationships taking much satisfaction from exceeding clients expectations. He has built a reputation for delivering a high quality service which he has maintained through a real understanding of his clients to achieve elegant design solutions, which are also practical and cost effective.

Showing a passionate commitment to designing buildings, which are both functional and visually stimulating. Nick offers a client focused service, which produces imaginative, unique and holistic architectural design solutions that are highly responsive to client needs and expectations. All projects are approached without preconceived ideas and this enables him to produce genuine designs that are the result of a collaborative process.

Heather Goodchild – Recently graduating from the University of Huddersfield with a BSc (Hons) degree in Architectural Technology and 4 years of experience working within a family-run architectural business, Heather has a fresh outlook on sustainable design and is able to incorporate modern design and construction methods into new developments whilst also having a passion for quality in her work.

As one of the principal partners, Jeff Goodchild has practised in the field of building design for over 30 years, the business works mainly in the Northwest; preparing, drawing and presenting plans for a variety of projects and customers. We aim to maintain competitive costs for our clients and our priority is to ensure that every job we do is completed to the highest of quality. Altogether, we have completed more than 6,000 architectural building designs.

As an individual member, Jeff’s contribution has the added bonus of being supported by Membership of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT).

Chartered status is an exclusive title only awarded to individuals that meet rigorous criteria relating to professionalism and capability. All Chartered Architectural Technologists commit to the CIAT’s code of ethics, reinforcing the highest standards of professional practice in their business dealings.

Not all Architectural Technologists/Technicians achieve Chartered status, indicating that this is a highly exclusive award reserved for the leading personal within the Architectural Technology market.

Information Technology – Drawings are produced using the latest ArchiCAD software.

We carry out the majority of our projects out in the North west, we mainly work in areas such as:

• Lancashire
• Yorkshire
• Merseyside

However, we will work in further a field for example we have also carried out work in:
